2017 May 15

Dominating the field both in the circle and at the plate, junior pitcher Megan Good was named the Colonial Athletic Association's Most Outstanding Player over the conference championship as she led James Madison softball to its second consecutive title.

At the plate, Good held a .500 average as she went 4-for-8 with a tournament-best two home runs. She led the Dukes with four runs scored while topping the tournament field with six RBIs. She also held a staggering 1.200 slugging percentage over JMU's three games.

Good started all three tournmanet games as she went 2-0 with a shutout while combining with freshman Odicci Alexander and redshirt sophomore Jessica McCabe for a second shutout outing. Over 12.0 innings of work, Good held a 0.58 ERA. She allowed just on earned run off eight whiles and four walks while striking out a total of 11.
